I am a firm believer in giving back to my community, even when times are tough. Here are some ways I've been able to serve our community.
Supporting Non-Profit Organizations:
- CASA of Southwest Missouri, provided headshots and images for website and social media, February 2023
- Dream Factory of Southwest Missouri, photographed Tea Party Benefit, October 2022
- Missouri State University's NAACP, provided headshots for students beginning to job search, August 2022
- Springfield Public Schools, donated session vouchers to a few lucky teachers, August 2022
- Horace Mann Elementary School, donated session vouchers, September 2021
- Parents' Cooperative Preschool, donated session vouchers, August 2021
- Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, provided holiday pet portraits for adoptable animals, December 2020
- Habitat for Humanity, donated session vouchers, October 2020
- Arthritis Foundation, "Family Feature" to support a giving campaign publication, October 2020
Volunteering as a Photographer for "On Angels' Wings:"
- Named 2022 "VIP" (Very Important Photographer)
- Named 2021 "VIP" (Very Important Photographer)
- providing sessions for families with children who have received a terminal risk diagnosis
- providing "rainbow baby" sessions to families who have previously lost a child
- providing loss sessions for babies born still or newborns with limited life expectancy
Donating Services that Benefit Our Community:
- free or reduced-cost milestone sessions for children for homeless families and foster families
- free ongoing NICU sessions for babies with extended stays (3+ weeks) pending schedule availability
- annual free headshot event for local area female business owners
- free or reduced-cost branding sessions for POC (People of Color) freelancers or business owners
